May 1st:Small Updates and a Request
Updated the members list. I understand a few people may have been skipped when I was updating the list last update, so if you don't see yourself, please just send us another note. We get forgetful.

Now, I have an appeal of you, the members.

It seems we're not getting the kind of turnout with contests like I would have hoped. Given our numbers now, and the now new ranking system, I would have expected to have seen more entries in the last contest. Remember, entering helps the chance of you increasing your rank.

Now I ask you, the members, what do you want to see for this fanclub? What would make you want to participate more? I realize Castlevania isn't as popular as say Kingdom Hearts or Naruto or other series whose fanclubs boast high numbers, but I'd still like to see some love for the series - especially with the possibility of two new games coming out within the next year or so.

So, comments? Critiques? Donations? Pity? :<

If you would like to join, send a note (do NOT comment) to the club stating you would like to join,what your favorite game of the series is, and what town you'd like to be assigned to (otherwise we'll stick you in a default one). Then, place the club icon or link in your journal or signature, and spread the word! Also, please do be patient if you do not get a reply right away. We update as fast as we can. DevWatching is also recommended for up-to-date announcements.

February 20th -"Stage Scenery" Contest

- For this contest, participants must recreate a stage from one of the Castlevania games. Is your favorite stage the Clock Tower? Or maybe you're a Dungeon person. Draw up any stage based on any Castlevania game to date, and maybe add your own personal touches to dress up your piece! You can also include a game character in your piece too if you wish, but the focus should be on the stage itself.

So break out your old games and start studying your favorite stages!

Rules:

- Please be realistic and true to the Castlevania series.

- Violence and nudity must be tasteful. Nothing hardcore. Refer to DA's rules as if they were our own.

- Piece must be a fully-finished colored image, or a highly detailed pencil drawing. Sketches must be cleaned up and made to look as close to "finished" as possible. Remember, the better your piece, the greater your chance of earning ranking points.

- To enter, send a note with the word "contest" in it, and a link to your submission in the body of the note, to the club. No other exceptions, so as to be easier for the staff. The winner's will be the featured Deviation. If there is a good turn out in contest entries, multiple winners may be chosen.

Contest End Date: May 30th
Votes will go out soon afterwards.

This is the club's members section. Here, we have a listing of all of our members, and their assigned town which they are grouped in. (conveniently based on Simon's Quest!)

Everyone starts off as a civilian. To increase your rank, you must participate in contests and any other little missions made by the staff. For contests, the Top 3 with the most votes will earn one point to their ranking score. After a member receives a certain amount of points, their rank in their town will increase.

So participate, and you could be one of the top Vampire Hunters in the club!

Note: Anyone who won in previous contests will be credited with their points accordingly.
